Abundance Committee

The Abundance Committee’s purpose is to plan both “fundraising” and “friendraising” events to support the Congregation and allow CAS to reach sustainability. The path to sustainability is through active participation of both action and spirituality. Members of the Abundance Committee help coordinate the various congregational activities for the year.

Each event has a volunteer coordinator who takes ownership and seeks active involvement of the members to assist in the planning and execution the program.

Some Past and Upcoming Events Include:

Spring Flower Sale (ended May, 2006)

The annual raffle will kick off on June 1st. In response to your feedback, we have changed the raffle prize. We are offering a CASH prize of $500.00 and tickets will sell for $20.00 each. Top ticket sellers win dinner at Rabbi Chava’s home and gift certificates for two to the Bay Theater.

A Summer Sail on Grand Traverse Bay with Story-Telling by our own Rabbi Chava.

We are in the process of exploring the sale of CAS mugs as gifts or simply to greet and cheer you up with your morning coffee, featuring our own mitzvah man!

Finally, our grand finale FUNdraiser is a concert scheduled with Jeff Haas and Rabbi Chava. We hope to schedule an informal evening of Jewish Music and Story telling later this year.
